The League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County invites the public to meet and question the candidates for Fredonia Mayor and Village Trustees at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the Fredonia Opera House.

Running for the mayoral office are Athanasia Landis and Doug Essek. Running for village trustee are Vicky Cunningham, Dale Ricker, Kara Christina, Roger Pacos, James Lynden and Roland Rose.

The audience will be able to question candidates for both seats. As is well known, the LWV timekeepers are strict about keeping the candidates’ statements brief so that many members of the audience can ask questions. It is hoped that Meet the Candidates forums will attract lively audiences. As always, these events are free and open to the public.
