Crews on scene of Thruway crash
An accident involving a tractor-trailer and a snowplow on Interstate 90 has the attention of a number of emergency responders.
The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. today at the eastbound mile marker 481, which is between Exit 59 and 60 — and about 14 miles from the Dunkirk-Fredonia exit. Three individuals were in need of attention, according to the first call in the accident.
About 20 minutes later, a second call dealt with a diesel fuel spill from the accident.
There was also a call for a helicopter for injuries at the scene.
Those responding included Fredonia Fire Department, Westfield Fire Department and Chautauqua County Emergency Medical Services as well as the New York State Police.
