Five charged in drug bust

SALAMANCA — Five individuals are facing charges after a drug investigation at 46 Murray Ave. by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Taskforce.

Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies report Brenda Anderson, 44, of 46 Murray Ave., Brett Williams, 23, of Coldspring, Ashley Oakes, 21, of Salamanca, Jaquan Owens, 28, of Buffalo and Johnathan Saracina, 28, were all charged Wednesday evening following a search warrant executived by the sheriff’s special response team.

The search resulted in the finding of packaged bags of crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. All were taken to the Salamanca Police Department and were awaiting arraignment.

Anderson was charged with one felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell; one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Williams, Oaks, Owens and Saracina were charged with one felony count of criminal possession with intent to sell and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

The task force is comprised of members of the sheriff’s office, Salamanca Police Department, Franklinville Police Department and New York State Police.
