CASSADAGA — Members of the Cassadaga Library Association gathered at the library at 18 Maple Ave. in the village to decorate for the Christmas season.

The tree is decorated with lights, and many different kinds of ornaments, along with an angel on the top; the children’s reading room is also decorated.

Outside, by the front door, is a six-foot Christmas wreath, depicting all of the events of the community.

The library, which is a branch of the Mary E. Seymour Library, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; Hannah Beichner is the librarian.

At the business meeting, officers for 2020 were elected. Mrs. Woollett will be the association president, Mrs. Burlingame will be the vice president, Mrs. Coulcher will serve as the secretary, and Mrs. George will serve as the treasurer.

The Cassadaga Library dates back to 1939, when a group of women met to organize the library. New members are always welcome.
