City tree meeting set for Monday
The city of Dunkirk Planning and Development staff invites the community to a public meeting to review the results and recommendations in the recently completed City of Dunkirk Tree Inventory and Management Plan.
The project, funded by a grant from the New York state Department of Environmental Conservation, has concluded and the city will now use that data and accompanying management plan to guide future planning. The goal of the project was to create a tree inventory and management plan that can serve as the foundation for increased community investment and the future care of the city’s community forest.
The meeting will take place in the Mayor’s Conference Room at City Hall, located at 342 Central Ave., on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
