Police note progress in Evans hit-and-run case

EVANS — Town police are receiving some assistance in locating the driving of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian, who is listed in stable condition, on Monday evening.

In a news release issued Thursday, the department said the incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. along Southwestern Boulevard. After striking the person, the vehicle left the scene and is believed to be a 2015-2018 silver colored Ford Edge. The vehicle also would have damage to the passenger side headlight, mirror and front wheel well areas.

Officers ask that anyone with information, call the department at 549-3600 or the tip line at 217-3585.

As of this afternoon, the department noted there have been new developments in the case and offered its thanks to the public for the assistance.
