Anderson-Lee Library lists February programs

Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main St. in Silver Creek, has announced its programming for the month of February. Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. To register for programs, call the library at 934-3468, stop by 43 Main St., message us on Facebook, or visit www.andersonleelibrary.org and click on the events tab for easy online registration. It is also possible to sign up for email/text reminders when registering online!

The library is open Monday and Tuesday from 12 to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 12 to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed Wednesday and Sunday.

The library will be closed in observance of President’s Day on Monday, Feb. 17.

Pre-School and School Age Storytime

Pre-school Storytime for children ages 2 to 5 on Thursday mornings Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 with Miss Jill at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Children under 3 ¢ will need a parent/caregiver present.

Storytime for School Age Children on Thursday mornings Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10:30 a.m. Miss Amy will organize a variety of activities for children ages 6 and older. Expect stories, crafts, LEGOS, games, and more! Great for homeschooling families!

Clubs

LEGO club meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to join in on Feb. 4 for the monthly building challenge.

Tinker Tuesday meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to join in on Feb. 25 for the monthly challenge.

Magic the Gathering will meet Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25. For ages 13 and up. We will use Commander Format and Oathbreaker/Brawl based on attendance. Bring your own deck!

Special Events

Valentine’s Craftapalooza! For all ages, Saturday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We are pulling out all of our valentine’s themed craft supplies so you can make homemade valentines for your loved ones. This is a drop-in event, so come anytime between the stated hours.

Saturday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m. The Wondermakers return with delightful stories from around the world, “World of Wonders.” Now in their 25th season, The Wondermakers perform interactive story theatre and have given over 3000 performances throughout New York, Florida, and Ohio. The Wondermakers are professional actors with a commitment to theatre, improvisation, and education. Fun for all ages! Attendees are asked to register so that we seating may be provided for all who would like to attend.

Friday, Feb. 21, 1 to 4 p.m. Drop in LEGO Club! Come anytime between the stated hours and our vast collection of LEGOs will be available for your building pleasure! Best for ages 5 and older. No registration necessary.
