Forestville man charged in grand larceny

PORTLAND — A Forestville man was charged Thursday with third-degree grand larceny after failing to complete a job he was allegedly paid to do.

Following an investigation that occurred around 8 a.m. Oct. 28, it was found that James W. Haskins, 40, was hired to complete roofing work in the town of Portland. Haskins accepted a check for $3,500 but failed to complete any of the work and did not attempt reimbursement to the victims.

Haskins was issued an appearance ticket and will be in the town of Portland Court at a later date and time.
