Members of the Dunkirk Fire Department/ Dunkirk Professional Firefighters Local 616 spread holiday cheer to two Dunkirk families on Christmas Eve. Dunkirk Professional Firefighters Local 616 active and retired members, along with the Chief Michael Edwards and Mayor Wilfred Rosas, contributed to a fund to help bring a Merry Christmas to two City of Dunkirk families, consisting of eight children and their parents. On Christmas Eve, firefighters visited the homes of each family and presented them with gifts of winter jackets, toys, carbon monoxide detectors and food for a Christmas dinner. The Dunkirk Fire Department and Local 616 would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and remind all to practice fire safety everyday.
