Fredonia defeated in High School Bowl match

JAMESTOWN — Maple Grove High School defeated Fredonia Central School 76-31 in a recent Media One High School Bowl match at Jamestown Community College.

In another match, Ellicottville Central School defeated Frewsburg Central School 64-34.

Will Allen of Maple Grove and Adam Silvernail and Jalee Evans of Ellicottville earned Player of the Match honors.

Representing Maple Grove were Kampbell Howard, Jenna Hayes, Logan Richardson, Hope Marshall, Kevin Ruhlman, and Robert Suber.

Jack Swanson, Jackson Osborne-Coy, Gabe Johnson, and Aidan Mohart competed for Fredonia.

The Ellicottville team included Alex Hunt, Caleb Jennings, and Bryce Butler.

Frewsburg team members included Joe Mihaly, Veronica Nowak, Kelson Laska, Jacob Sears, and Bailey South.

High School Bowl, now in its 59th year, is produced by Media One Group in cooperation with JCC. Sponsors include the JCC Alumni Association, SKF Aeroengine-North America, Chautauqua County Humane Society, Honest John’s Pizza and Wings, Pepsi, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Marsh Appliance and Carports, Weinberg Financial Group, and Delta Kappa Gamma, the International Honor Society of Women Educators.

High School Bowl airs at 12:10 p.m. on Saturdays on radio station WJTN and at 7 a.m. on Sundays on radio station WWSE. Matches can also be heard online at radiojamestown.com/podcasts.
