BUSTI — A 34-year-old male faces assault charges after allegedly roughing up a female Saturday night.

Raymond Hamilton, 34, of Jamestown, faces charges of third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing.

Lakewood-Busti Police Department officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress on Mead Road at about 11:41 p.m. Saturday. Their investigation found that Hamilton allegedly struck a woman multiple times in the face and choked her.

Hamilton was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment.
