Fredonia Fire Department on Saturday said it responded to an incident where a man had fallen into a campfire on Temple Street in the village around 9:30 p.m. The first call regarding the incident was referred to as a panic attack. The individual had second- and third-degree burns and had to be transported by helicopter for treatment. According to the Facebook post, Engine 15 and M10 were dispatched to the State University of New York at Fredonia to secure a landing zone for Mercy Flight.
