Cherry Creek man nabbed with meth

CHERRY CREEK — A town resident has been charged with having methamphetamine after a traffic stop earlier this week by state troopers.

New York State Police report Gregory Schroeder, 38, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on State Route 83 on Wednesday. During the investigation of the stop, the Troopers observed in plain view what appeared to be a clear bag of crystal methamphetamines on the front passenger seat. While Schroeder was taken into custody by the troopers, he was found in possession of another bag of crystal methamphetamines on his person. Schroeder also was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other vehicle violations.

He was released on an Appearance Ticket and Traffic Tickets to appear in Cherry Creek Town Court in June.
