Bingo moves to east lot in Fredonia

Following up on a full parking lot last week at Manning’s Fireside Manor “Parking Lot Bingo” will return to the village east municipal lot this Thursday. The Fredonia Community Chamber of Commerce continues to use this event to support small business and the community. The FCCC is committed to doing all we can to support all businesses in the community. If there is some way we can help please reach out. Parking Lot Bingo has had some random trivia questions and prizes and this week we will take it up a level so bring your thinking caps both young and old and join the fun.

FCCC Board member Greg Krauza said “this has become a must go to event. We have a great group of regulars and we are adding folks every week. This week we will take our event to a new level by adding an organized trivia component. Bingo is fun and will continue but we want to keep it fresh”. Board member Lynn Liedke added “it is so much fun to see the families enjoying the games. We need to keep up a positive spirit during this challenging time and getting together, while practicing all safe practices and social distancing. This is truly a family friendly, all age event.”

Bingo games start at 5:30 p.m. and usually run until 7 p.m. There is no cost to play although we do encourage you to frequent one of the eating establishments for either in restaurant dining or take out.

You can come for a game or two or stay the whole time. Prizes for both young and old are awarded to our winners. Some folks just open the window and play while families have opened their tailgates and/or brought lawn chairs. Please take advantage of the wonderful weather and the opportunity to support a few local businesses, as well as the opportunity to interact with others after some distancing and quarantine. All safe practices (masks, hand sanitizer, distancing as possible) are followed at this event.

This will be our fifth week of “Parking lot Bingo” and we hope to continue it throughout the summer. Both the participants and the businesses gave the event positive reviews. We hope to continue both the social and business support throughout the summer. If you have questions please call Fredonia Community Chamber of Commerce President Michelle Joy at 785-5934.
