Cassadaga announces trick or treating policy

CASSADAGA — Trick-or-treating in Cassadaga will be held from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31.

The following guidelines are recommendations to help keep everyone safe: residents that choose to participate should set up a table in front of their house. The table should be disinfected and have candy spread out on it to make it easy for children to pick up one piece without touching other candy. Residents should sit at least 6 feet from table to monitor. When candy is gone, the table can be disinfected and candy can be re-supplied. It may help to put a battery operated light on table. If weather is not conducive for sitting outside to monitor candy, a table may be set up at end of the driveway, and a car may be pulled up to the table so residents may sit in their car to monitor. Trick-or-treaters should social distance and wear a mask if it is not possible.

There will be no Halloween party at the fire hall this year. For more information, call 665-8855.
