On Sunday, Nov. 1, the community is invited to drive by the Dunkirk Pier from 2:30-3:30 p.m. to wish a happy birthday to Caroline Wood who is turning 95 years old. She was a second-grade teacher at Fredonia Wheelock and Eagle Street schools from 1959 to 1981. The family hopes some of her former students and friends can come by. Feel free to decorate your vehicle with ribbons, balloons, bows, etc. Drive slow, roll down your window and wave! Please no gifts, but donations to the Lake Shore Humane Society are welcomed.
