Four new COVID cases reported in Gowanda

GOWANDA — In a letter sent out late Thursday afternoon, the Gowanda Central School district announced that four students between the Gowanda Middle and High School have tested positive for COVID-19. In the letter, it is noted that the local Health Department is aware, and further steps are being taken as necessary. Because of the positive tests, in-person school close contacts have been contacted.

The district will provide further updates if additional steps are necessary, and they ask you to monitor your children for any symptoms. More information on the symptoms of COVID-19 can be found at https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home or on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html. If you have questions regarding any of this information, please contact the Gowanda school district.
