Darian Switzer

EDINBORO, Pa. — A Westfield Academy and Central School 2015 alumni has been selected to deliver the graduate address during the virtual spring commencement at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Darian Switzer, who was one of the “Top Ten” in her class at Westfield Academy and Central School, will deliver the student address on behalf of the Edinboro University Class of 2021. Switzer, the daughter of Scott and Muchelle Switzer of Westfield, will be awarded a Master of Arts Degree from Edinboro University in Managerial and Leadership Communication Studies. In 2019, Switzer graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education with Cum Laude honors. Switzer has maintained a 4.0 GPA during her Masters Degree Program, and was on Edinboro’s Deans list during her undergraduate studies.

During her time at Edinboro, Switzer obtained a teaching license in art for grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grades from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Switzer has served as a graduate assistant for the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania School of Education, an after- school mentor for the Urban Erie Community Development Corporation, and a volunteer artist at the Mastery Molina Elementary School in Philadelphia. Switzer is a marketing intern at the Experience Children’s Museum in Erie, Pa.
