Dunkirk man charged in $50,000 larceny

A Dunkirk man who allegedly exploited funds in excess of $50,000 from another person is facing a grand larceny charge.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday said 72-year-old William J. Bradley, acting as the power of attorney for an individual, used the funds from the victim’s bank account. An investigation into the adult protective service case began in late January.

“The money taken was not beneficial to the victim’s care or well-being,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Bradley was charged with second-degree grand larceny and is scheduled to appear in Dunkirk City Court later.
