LEON — At its annual recognition dinner, the Leon Fire Company installed officers for the 2021-22 membership year.

Holly Abers, town justice and department member, gave the oaths of office to Corey Ellis, president; Pat Bromley, vice president; Jackie Ellis, treasurer; Donna Snyder, secretary; Jason Lyndsley, fire chief; Mario Petruno, first assistant; Christina Lyndsley, EMT captain; and Carol Ellis, fire police captain.

The top first responders for the 2020-21 year were Jason Lyndsley, Corey Ellis, Jack Herman and Trent Mihalko. Receiving membership recognition were Carol Ellis with 10 years of continuous service and Ed Lampson with 30 years of continuous service.

The Leon Fire Company meets on the first Monday of each month, unless it falls on a holiday and then the company meets the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. New members are welcomed and encouraged.
