Anderson Lee Library accepting donations

SILVER CREEK — The Friends of the Anderson Lee Library in Silver Creek are now accepting book donations through Monday Sept. 20 for their annual used book sale to be held during Grape Festival weekend. All donations are to be dropped off to the Library at 43 Main St.

The four day sale begins Wednesday Sept 22 from 5:30-7:30 for a presale evening just for paid members of the Friends of the Library group. Memberships can be purchased at the door for just $10 for an individual. Book sales for the general public are Thursday Sept 23, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday Sept 24 from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday Sept 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the bag sale starting at noon.

The group is not accepting encyclopedias of any kind, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, magazines, dictionaries and textbooks as these items take up valuable space. Please donate clean books in good condition that have not been stored where mildew or musty odors have affected the books.

All proceeds from this sale are used to enhance library collections, equipment and programs.
