Order your Audubon birdseed by Oct. 1

Give birds a mid-fall treat and stock up on their favorite birdseed at a special price.

Orders are due by Friday, Oct. 1, for Audubon Community Nature Center’s fall birdseed sale, an opportunity to save and support Audubon at the same time. Ordering through the sale guarantees that non-Nature Center Members receive 20% off ACNC’s retail prices, and Nature Center Members receive 30% off retail prices. Conewango Blend, unique to ACNC, was developed to attract favorite and common fall species of the region such as chickadees, cardinals, and titmice. There are also suet cakes for woodpeckers and a mix to attract finches. To place an order, call 569-2345 during business hours, stop by the Nature Center, or use the printable order form or order online at AudubonCNC.org/Shop.

Orders can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, when volunteers will load the fresh seed, direct from the supplier, into purchasers’ vehicles. Call 569-2345 ahead of time if unable to pick up an order then.

Audubon’s own Conewango Blend is available year-round in the Blue Heron Gift Shop in the Nature Center and at Anderson Produce (seasonal), Jamestown; Ashville General Store, Ashville; Everyday’s True Value on Foote Avenue, Jamestown; Howe’s True Value, Warren; Lakewood Apothecary, Lakewood; Lighthouse Point Grocery, Mayville; Oneida Lumber, Warren; and Wegmans, Lakewood.
