Chautauqua County Election Commissioners Luz E. Torres and Brian C. Abram are reminding voters about upcoming voter registration deadlines for the Nov. 2 general election.

“The deadline to submit a Voter Registration form for new voters is October 8, 2021,” Torres said. “We encourage everyone who is eligible to get registered.”

Voters can obtain a Voter Registration form by calling the Board of Elections at (716) 753-4580, downloading a form from our website www.votechautauqua.com or picking up a form at any local town/village/city office, library or post office. Voters who have a New York State Driver’s License can register online via the NYS DMV Portal. A link to this portal is available at our website.

“Voters who are already registered, but have not updated their address with the Board of Elections, should do so by October 13, 2021 to avoid additional time and paperwork at the poll site,” Abram said.

Voters who do not update their address will be required to vote via a Provisional Affidavit ballot, which will be canvassed after the election by the Board of Elections.
