Bigler wants ‘new view’ for Sheridan

Susan Bigler

SHERIDAN — Susan Bigler has announced her candidacy for a seat on the Sheridan Town Board. She was born and raised in the town of Sheridan. She returned in 2000 to serve her hometown area in the U.S. Postal Service.

Recently retired from the USPS, she is now employed part-time in the office of a Sheridan business. Her community involvement includes president of the Sheridan VFW 6390 Auxiliary, treasurer of the Sheridan Cemetery Association, and trustee of the Sheridan Historical Society. Sue is also a member of several community concert bands. She represents Sheridan in the Chautauqua County Democratic Committee.

Bigler says it is important for maintaining democracy to have campaign competition and to give citizens a reason to exercise their vote.

Her motivation is her pride in her town and desire to help bring a sense of community and identity to Sheridan.

As a town that is split into five ZIP codes and four school districts, Sheridan has many resources, natural and economic, that go unrecognized.

Given the opportunity to help with needed improvements and to encourage community involvement, Bigler would like to bring “a new view” to the town.

Starting at $3.50/week.
