Fredonia series taking entertainment to new dimension

Acclaimed comedian and juggler Mark Nizer performs on Friday at 7 p.m. in Marvel Theatre.

A new dimension in family-friendly entertainment is in the works when Rockefeller Arts Center welcomes acclaimed comedian and juggler Mark Nizer to Marvel Theatre at the State University of New York at Fredonia.

“Mark Nizer – 4D… a New Dimension in Entertainment” takes place on Friday at 7 p.m. in Marvel Theatre as part of the 2021-22 Kaleidoscope Family Series sponsored by the OBSERVER and The Post-Journal.

Billed as “only live 4D show in the world,” Nizer takes audiences into a dimension of laser light and technology. The phrase “Nothing Less Than Brilliant” (Performance Magazine) has been used to describe the outrageous comedy and expertly crafted feats of Mark Nizer.

This is family-friendly event is perfect for all ages 6 and up.

Audience members are encouraged to bring their smart phones as they will be part of the show as Nizer takes them over and uses them to light up the theater. Unique 4D glasses will be distributed out before the show. These glasses allow audiences to experience a new 4D world of lasers, music and a popping depth of color.

Nizer, who last appeared at Rockefeller Arts Center in 2010, is considered one of the greatest entertainment comedians and jugglers performing today. His wild exploits have landed him on MTV, HBO’s “Just for Laughs” and more. He has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Hope, George Burns, John Byner, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, and Barry Manilow.

Entertainment Magazine states, “Without a doubt the hottest juggler on the entertainment market, Mark Nizer is simply incredible.”

Nizer’s combination of original comedy, world class juggling, movement, music and technology create a spellbinding evening. Whether juggling laser beams at 1,000 RPMs or five ping pong balls being thrown 20 feet in the air using only his mouth or even juggling a burning propane tank, a running electric carving knife and a 16-pound bowling ball, you’ll discover for yourself that Nizer is and The really “the juggler your mother warned you about.”
