Warren County home destroyed in morning fire

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. — A two-story Warren County home was destroyed in a fire that broke out early Monday.
Firefighters from several departments, including a few from neighboring Chautauqua County, were alerted to the blaze around 1:45 a.m. at 215 Main St. in Sugar Grove.
A fire official informed dispatch that two rooms on the first floor were engulfed by flames and that all occupants had managed to get out. Within a few minutes, the fire official said the entire residence was fully engulfed and that occupants of neighboring homes were being evacuated.
By 9 a.m., the property had been leveled and a fire marshal with the Pennsylvania State Police was on scene. A handful of firefighters remained on Main Street through the morning.
The cause of the fire was not known late Monday.
Firefighters from Sugar Grove,Youngsville, Wrightsville, Russell, North Warren and Lander were among the first to be summoned to the scene. First responders from Busti, Panama and Kiantone in Chautauqua County were called as well, along with utility crews.
Warren County Public Safety Director Ken McCorrison said a firefighter who suffered a fall was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
