Lakeshore Humane Society still urging masks

Lakeshore Humane Society holds Open Adoption Hours each Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at its Adoption Center, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk. The public is welcome to see dogs and cats in need of loving homes.

Although the state mandate on face masks has been lifted, masks covering the nose and mouth are encouraged for visitors on the grounds of LHS regardless of vaccination status. Those who are not feeling well or have been around others testing positive for COVID are asked to delay visits until they are feeling better. Tours of the facility will not be given. COVID guidelines can change according to the latest information from New York State. Please check the LHS website (www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org) for updates.

The Cat’s Meow Boutique, located in the lobby, will be open for purchases by the public.

No individual appointments will be made during Open Adoption Hours. However, individual appointments are available throughout the week and can be made by leaving a message at 716-672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats.

For more information, see the LHS website (www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org), visit the LHS Facebook page (Lakeshore Humane Society, Inc), or call 672-1991.
