Hideaway project ‘looking good’

SILVER CREEK — The long-awaited Hideaway Bay Project in the Village of Silver Creek could be getting underway here shortly. Mayor Jeff Hornburg said that he ran into the business development manager for the county Industrial Development Agency, who said the project is waiting on some good weather.

“I ran into Kristine Morabito and she said that things are looking good for the Hideaway Bay project to start,” Hornburg said. “As soon as the weather breaks.”

While no specific time frame was outlined, as the winter turns to spring, Hornburg is optimistic that the project will be underway soon.

In other village business, Hornburg said that the second notice for delinquent water bills will be sent out on April 11, and will be due by the end of the month.

Additionally, the Village Board also approved a day for kids to meet with the Easter Bunny. On Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m., children will be able to meet and greet the Easter Bunny at the Silver Creek Village Square. This is presented by the Silver Creek Kiwanis Club.
