Attic & Seller Days return to Fredonia

Get ready for some bargain hunting in Fredonia this weekend. The Fredonia Community Chamber of Commerce will again hold its popular communitywide yard sales known as Attic & Seller Days, from Friday to Sunday. This event will include over 65 sales throughout the village and surrounding area.

Sales maps will be available for $2 each via download on the chamber’s web calendar event, and for sale at Village Hall on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, and then in the information booth at Barker Commons Friday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sale hours are generally 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, but some sales may vary.

Proceeds from the yard sales registrations and map sales go to assist the year-round programming offered by the Fredonia Community Chamber of Commerce, including a scholarship each year for a Fredonia High School senior who will be continuing their education in the business field.

In keeping with the mission of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, the yard sales are also working to promote small local businesses this year. Ad spaces on the map feature special offers to create a business environment in the region where our members can thrive. With a renewed focus on driving consumers to local businesses, the Chamber is looking at how increased traffic from yard sales can benefit local businesses. Businesses listed on this year’s map are: 64 on the Rocks/64 on the Pier, Domus Fare, Dupers, Jo Jo’s Cake Cottage, One World Catering, SUP Erie Adventures, and TaQo.

Fredonia Community Chamber Coordinator Denise Szalkowski noted “The Fredonia Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring this annual event back to the Village. These sales have been well attended in past years, and we expect there will be lots of great deals to be found.”

“We hope the consumers who are drawn to the sales will also support our great local businesses while they are in Fredonia,” Szalkowski said. “We especially want to thank the Village of Fredonia for working with us on this project, and all of our volunteers who will be staffing the information booth to sell maps.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
