SHERIDAN — The June meeting of the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary Post 6390 was held at the post on June 13. Many items were discussed and brought up for a vote. We decided to make a monetary donation to the WNY Freedom Lounge at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. This lounge provides a nice environment for traveling service members and veterans at the airport. It was also decided that we will provide a wreath for a designated grave of a veteran in the Sheridan Cemetery beginning Memorial Day 2023 .

The organization will be making treats for area businesses, hopefully once a month, and taking them to the business as a way of showing appreciation for the services they provide. Our organization will also be baking for a sale during the concert at the Sheridan Town Hall lawn on July 27 at 6 p.m. with music provided by the Cassadaga Concert Band. It was also determined that we will purchase a VFW Auxiliary shirt for President Susan Bigler.

Our next meeting will be July 11 at 6:30 at one of our members’ home and will be a picnic with the auxiliary providing the hotdogs and members to bring a dish to pass.
