COLLINS — An Evans man has died after a car-motorcycle collision on Thursday near State Route 438 and Versailles Plank Road.

State Police in Collins report they responded to the incident involving a 2016 Harley Davidson operated by Martin T. Burke, 64, that was traveling southbound on State Route 438 when an eastbound 2019 Buick Enclave stopped at the stop sign on Versailles Plank Road, but failed to yield the right of way. The motorcycle struck the Buick in a T-bone impact. The operator of the Buick, Virginia A. Johnson, 79 of Perrysburg was transported to Erie County Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted in this investigation, which is ongoing.
