During the recent Chautauqua County Fair, Town of Stockton historian John Sipos set up a display booth in Floral Hall to illustrate the 200th anniversary of the first town board meeting in Stockton. The display booth included many old photographs and publications from the town in the last 200 years. The display earned a blue ribbon award. Historian Sipos created a framing of the photograph of the booth, the blue ribbon and the newspaper article announcing the opening of the fair. Sipos presented the framing to the board for display in the town office. Shown in the photograph are Councilmen Stanley P. Zembryski. Hannah V. Abram, John J. Beichner, Town Supervisor David J. Wilson, Town Clerk Kathryn M. Palmer, and historian Sipos. Absent from photograph is Councilman Bryan J. Meder. The town board meet once a month on the second Tuesday of each month. Guests are always welcome.
