The Chautauqua County Italian American Organization recently enjoyed their annual picnic at Russell Joy Park. The catered event by Campano’s Cucina, was well attended and for the nominal fee of $10, members enjoyed an Italian feast of traditional sausage and peppers, baked ziti, asiago mac and cheese and Caesar salad. Many members brought their favorite desserts to share. Some members played cards, others visited with friends.

The Club is encouraging and offering new membership for the very low annual fee of $5 per person and $15 for a family. Any person interested in their own heritage or a family member is encouraged to join this interesting and fun organization, and remember, you don’t have to be Italian to join. The next event will be a Harvest/Columbs Day Dinner in October. Committee chairwomen, Shari Mullen and Suzie Castle. The dinner will be held at a local restaurant, reservations are required.
