On Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., members of Cub Scout Pack 201 in Westfield will be collecting returnable bottles and cans to help fund their projects for the year.
The Cub Scouts will be collecting bottles and cans in the parking lot area in front of the Fire Department of Westfield.
“The cubs will be ready and people only need to drive up. No one needs to get out of the car– the cubs will unload and do all the work,” said Patty Bowen, Bear Den leader.
The cubs are raising money to be able to do more larger projects throughout the year, as well as earn more Cub Adventures and attend Cub Scout events at Camp Merz.
“The pack hasn’t been able to do many of their regular fundraisers during COVID, or they weren’t as successful as they have been in the past, so our fund balance is low,” said Joe DeBiso, committee chair.
