Jamestown fire extinguished, remains under investigation
Jamestown officials reported Saturday the fire at the empty 1061 Allen St. site remains under investigation. That statement comes after the city Fire Department’s suppression operation at the site concluded around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
No injuries have been reported.
Wednesday’s fire began around 11:20 p.m. and relied on a massive response by a number of south county departments. The former Crawford Furniture building was leveled by the scorching blaze while displacing employees from Artone for two days.

As we continue cleanup efforts, I am humbled by the support of our community and neighbors, with help coming from the local, state, and federal levels.”
