Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK –The Silver Creek Seniors met on Nov. 8 with 27 members present.

President Ed Newman opened the meeting with the Pledge to the flag and all singing God Bless America. He then welcomed back guest Debbie Suski and visitor Candy Weist. Arlene Miller offered a prayer for the members and the meal for the day. Attendees enjoyed four different homemade soups and several desserts.

Winners of the 50-50 were Candy, Dixie Carlson and Don Hoeber. Winners of the gifts were Eleanor Lemiszko, Jim Spano and Jan Polisoto. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners included: Arlene, Ed, Jim (twice), Harry Suski, and Ginny Chesbro. Ed called bingo and winners were: Janice Snyder (4 times), Phyllis Burghardt, Don, Jen Zlotnick and Debbie.

Silver Creek Senior Citizens also met on Nov. 15 with 30 members and guests present.

Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “If you have a gift” and offered a prayer for the members and the meal for the day. Pizza and desserts were on the table. Ed then welcomed Joan and Harry Suski’s guests Cindy, Debby and Brooks.

Winners of 50-50 were Eleanor Lemiszko, Dixie Carlson and Debby. Winners of the gifts were Phyllis Burghardt, Elaine and Ginny Chesbro. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners included: Harry, Sherry Spano, Jan Polisoto, Eleanor (twice), and Ed.

The auction of numerous items was a huge success. Ed called bingo and winners were: Cindy, Annette Hoeber (3 times), Ginny, Joan S., Eleanor, Janice Snyder and Lorrie Newman.

Next week the group will enjoy a catered Thanksgiving luncheon of turkey and all the trimmings. (members pay $5).
