Dr. Raman Sood to join Brooks-TLC Hospital System

Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc. is pleased to welcome Raman Sood, MD, to its clinical team as cancer care expert, effective Monday, December 5.

Sood and his staff continue to serve Dunkirk and the surrounding communities through Lake Erie Medical Services (LEMS), a subsidiary of Brooks-TLC, and in partnership with Great Lakes Cancer Care.

“We are thrilled to be working with Dr. Sood directly,” said Ken Morris, President and CEO of Brooks-TLC. “And through collaboration with LEMS and Great Lakes Cancer Care, we are proud to keep his extensive medical and oncology experience in our community to care for patients, right here at home.”

Throughout his over 25-years in medicine, Sood has received a number of prestigious academic awards including, the Pfizer Medallion of Excellence in Internal Medicine, and honors in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Preventative Medicine.

He received his Medical Undergraduate Training from Indira Ghandi Medical College in Shimla, India, and his Doctor of Medicine Degree in Internal Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in India. Sood completed his Internal Medicine Residency Training at SUNY Stonybrook Clinical Campus, Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, N.Y. A Fellow in Medical Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, Sood is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology.
