Chadwick Bay Women get growing

The Chadwick Bay Chapter of New York State Women Inc. met at Jo Jo’s Cake Cottage in Dunkirk for its March meeting.

For this educational workshop, seven of the members learned how to make frosting roses, flower stems, grass and petals. The next meeting was April 11 at Barnes Greenhouses.

The group filled planters with new spring flowers for summer patios and porches.

After finishing planting, the group met to continue the evening at Terri Pacos’s home for food and beverages. The group also has a scholarship for our members.

One of our members has requested this educational fund for a Sigma 6 course. This will be forwarded to our board at our next meeting for consideration.

Being part of a statewide group gives you the chance to have an impact in your life, the life of women in your community and the lives of women throughout New York. This impact can be achieved by creating a supportive local community, working on important legislative initiatives or providing important workshops and education programs that will help educate your members. New York State Women Inc. helps build powerful women personally, professionally, and politically.

The group fosters the success of women in the workforce throughout New York; offering career advancement resources, work/life strategies, leadership development, personal and professional connections, and much more! The New York State Women Inc., through Grace Legrende Foundation, provides endowments to women completing their masters and or their doctorate degrees.
