UPDATE: Fredonia Farmers’ Market moving outdoors next weekend

This Saturday, Chautauqua County’s only year-round farmers’ market will remain indoors due to the weather forecast at the Masonic Lodge on East Main Street. The outdoor season will begin May 27 when the Fredonia Farmers’ Market will move to the historic Barker Commons downtown in Fredonia, with summer hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until the end of October.

Market vendors offer locally produced meats, fruits and vegetables, maple products, raw local honey, a wide variety of baked goods ( traditional, gluten-free, & keto), fresh mushrooms, eggs, herbal products, ready-to-eat foods, & artisan craft goods. As the growing season progresses, garden plants, cut flowers, & new produce will become available. During the summer, our market offers frequent music events, food demos and a free venue for local non-profits to share information about their work.

Fredonia Farmers’ Market is in easy walking distance to the library, post office, a book store, shops and local eateries. Dollars spent in all of these small local businesses support your community and keep our downtown alive. Shopping small provides a friendly and sociable experience.

Market vendors gratefully accept cash, credit cards, & SNAP benefits. Barker Commons is handicapped accessible, and handicapped parking is nearby.
