1 min read

On Saturday, June 17, CombatAddictionCHQ.com, in partnership with Cope Foundation 19, will be hosting "Hope for the North County" at 355 Central Ave., Fredonia. From 10 a.m. to noon, visitors will learn about resources available in northern Chautauqua County to help address addiction in our families, neighborhoods, and communities.

Guest speakers will include local elected officials, residents in recovery, Kate Yancosek (US Army Col (ret.) and author of several books, including Recover in Color) and Officer Edwin Gomez of the Dunkirk Police Department, who will speak on his personal experience reversing several overdoses while on duty, for which he received a merit award.

Activities for children, catered refreshments, and karate demonstrations in the Family Martial Arts Center studio will also be included. Local agencies will be on hand to inform the public of services available in northern Chautauqua County.

Cope Foundation 19 offers hope and help for anyone in the North County struggling with an addiction. It encourages community members to stop by this free event. For more information, visit the web site at https://www.copefoundation19.com/.
