4-H ambassadors offer warm fair welcome
Pictured are the 2023 Teen Ambassadors. From left are: Lindsey Crisanti, Abigail Carlburg, Beth Lindsey, Emma Lindsey, Logan Ellsworth, Mackenzy Graziano, Cassie Skal, Madayln Reading, and Jaidyn Newhouse.
While rides warmed up, and 4-H members showed animals and projects the Chautauqua County Fair opened last week. The fair kicked off with a boom as the annual cannon ceremony sounded off at 10:30 a.m.
4-H Teen Ambassadors are young leaders who are skilled, enthusiastic and have a passion for promoting 4-H. This group of youth led the opening ceremony in the National Anthem and treated the VIPs to a complementary milkshake at the 4-H snack bar.
This year’s teen ambassadors that raised the money to be able to treat these people to a milkshake are Beth Lindsey, Emma Lindsey, Mackenzy Graziano, Jaidyn Newhouse, Abigail Carlberg, Logan Ellsworth, Madalyn Reading and Garrett Lesch. All of which really excel in the 4-H program. Thank you to all the VIPs who were in attendance of our tour of the 4-H barns. The teen ambassadors are currently working at building back their program and are constantly seeking donations and running fundraisers. If you feel like donating to a great cause, please contact the 4-H office at 716-664-9502 ext. 212.
The 4-H Youth Development Program is one of many programs offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County (CCE-Chautauqua). CCE-Chautauqua is a subordinate governmental agency with an educational mission that operates under a form of organization and administration approved by Cornell University as agent for the State of New York. It is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The association is part of the national cooperative extension system, an educational partnership between County, State, and Federal governments.
As New York’s land grant university Cornell administers the system in this state. Each Cornell Cooperative Extension association is an independent employer that is governed by an elected Board of Directors with general oversight from Cornell. All associations work to meet the needs of the counties in which they are located as well as state and national goals. For more information, call 716-664-9502 or visit our website at www.cce.cornell.edu/chautauqua. Cornell University Cooperative Extension provides equal program and employment opportunities.
