Jamestown firefighters prevented a fire that broke out Wednesday morning inside a garage from spreading to an attached residence. Crews were alerted to the garage fire around 10:30 a.m. at 158 Sampson St., at the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue. A sport utility vehicle was parked inside the garage, both of which sustained damage in the morning blaze. Officers with the Jamestown Police Department and the city’s dog control officer also responded to the scene. The cause of the fire was not known. No injuries were reported.
