Nature park tour scheduled for August 5

On Saturday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon, staff from the Western New York Partnership for Regional Invasive Species and Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy’s Director of Conservation, Twan Leenders, will hold a leisurely walk of the Cassadaga Lakes Nature Park, located on Route 60 in Cassadaga. During the tour of the preserve, attendees will learn about the differences between native and invasive species, why invasives are problematic, how to prevent the spread of invasives, and how to manage those already in the area. The walk is free and open to the public. Registrations are requested and can be made at wnyprism.org or chautauquawatershed.org.
