Fredonia High School student athletes Ella Koopman, Mady Polhamus, Sophia Gullo, Gigi Ferro and Sarah Davis, along with Fredonia softball coach Jesse Beers, sold special editions of the OBSERVER and the Post-Journal on Friday morning in the village of Fredonia to benefit the Laurel Memorial Run/Walk. Special editions were sold from Silver Creek to Jamestown during the morning hours. Volunteers in the north county even had to dodge heavy rainfalls. The Laurel Run event takes place next week and the newspaper sale raised more than $2,600 for Filling the Gap and The Resource Center.
