Blessed Mary Angela Parish, a member of The Lord's Vineyard of Families, consists of St. Hyacinth and St. Hedwig churches. Once again Blessed Mary Angela Parish is proud to present Polka Fest '23 on the grounds of The Church of St. Hedwig on Townsend and Doughty streets. As a member of The Lord's Vineyard of Families of Parishes, this year it welcomes Holy Trinity, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Joseph's and St. Anthony's to this year's Polka Fest.
The day will start with a polka Mass outside under the big top at noon with the music of the John Gora Band from Canada, After Mass, music will continue outside until 5 pm. This year, a Polish Dinner consisting of Golombki by Lynn, Polish Sausage, Red Cabbage, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Rye bread will be served in the air-conditioned Social Center. Outside, there will be Pierogies, Sausage Sandwiches, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Ice Cold Beer and Sodas.
There will be a variety of games, a Kids World with a Bounce House and fun for the whole family. This is a family event so bring the kids and spend a relaxing afternoon listening to some great music.
Dinner tickets are available at Big Rick's on Lake Shore Drive East and are $15 each or two for $25. This is not a drive-through dinner, but take outs are available
