A celebration of the new State Police at Fredonia barracks will be held as part of an open house on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The site is located at 1081 Main St. in Dunkirk. “Come see the new Fredonia Station as we celebrate with the community on this historical day,” said Troop A Commander, Major Eugene Staniszewski, This is a fun family event with many assets the New York State Police. We have put together a day of activities and demonstrations that will surely entertain and educate you and your families.” The event will include K9 demonstrations, robot demonstrations with the State Police bomb disposal unit, classic State Police vehicles, Special Operations Response Team display and an unmanned aircraft systems display. Conner’s Hot Dogs will be providing at the event.
