The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua (UUCNC) will host a community dinner to honor their Share the Plate Recipients from the last two years. This dinner will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 6pm at 222 Temple Street in Fredonia and the community is invited to join this celebration.

Share the Plate is a way to demonstrate UUCNC's commitment to nonprofit organizations whose actions are consistent with UUCNC's principles and sources. The purpose of this program is two-fold: to inform the congregation of the work of the organization by inviting a representative of the organization to speak briefly at a Sunday service, to display literature, and to answer questions during social hour, and to make a financial contribution in the name of the congregation. When the program started in 2009, the plate was split 50/50 with the chosen organization. Since September 2013, 100% of the non-pledge money received for the Share the Plate recipient is given to the chosen agency. As of summer 2023, congregants at UUCNC have donated over $35,000 to these causes! The cost for each meal is $15 and there are several dinner options: Lasagna with Meat, Vegetable Lasagna or Gluten Free/ Vegan Lasagna. UUCNC looks forward to sharing this celebratory event with members of our community.
