The annual Forestville Fall Festival was held on Oct. 7 and 8 at Forestville Central School with more than 50 vendors filling the gym, hallways and outside. The winners of the chili contest were Jodi Johnson, Alecia Zawilski and Beth Benchley. Judging was done by attendees. Children’s activities included pumpkin painting,face painting, games and prizes, which were held at no cost. Festival weekend included a pork dinner on Saturday at the Catholic Church, meat party at American Legion on Saturday night and The Fire Department held a chicken barbecue on Sunday. The Fall Festival Committee is committed to serving our community. It works with the Forestville Fire Department to sponsor a Halloween parade and party along with Christmas with Santa. The committee continues to give two scholarships each year to seniors involved in community service along with donating to the Forestville Food Pantry and Fire Department. The committee would like to thank all who contributed to the successful weekend, including the vendors and Forestville Central School for continued support.
