First Ward councilwoman vying for re-election
Natalie Luczkowiak
Natalie Luczkowiak has announced her candidacy for re-election as city of Dunkirk First Ward Councilwoman.
“I was born and raised in our city of Dunkirk,” she said. After raising my son in Buffalo, I came back when he was a Junior at the University of Buffalo in 2002. It is with great happiness to see how I can help!
“I would like to itemize the major accomplishments I have been able to make possible and let you know I am working for you.
“With a citizen inquiry, I proactively organized the city of Dunkirk Hero Banner Program. I believe after COVID, this has lifted everyone’s spirit, if not for anything, the mere fact that we were forced to look up at the sky.
“With a few business owners cries for help, I sought to take care of a forever problem: the control of the seagull issue in our City’s business district. After finally speaking with the right place, the USDA Wildlife Services, a meeting was created, and indeed, there was a solution, and it was produced.
“With citizens and their relevant observations, I was able to drive results for new steps at the gazebo at Washington Park, the donation of soccer goal nets near Lake Front Boulevard, new bushes along the fence of Refresco on Stegelske, and much more.
“There is more to do. Kindly take another journey with me in the next two years. I believe we need a Business Improvement District, an anchor store at the plaza, a warming center for the homeless, and to begin to change the Promenshenkel softball field in Wright Park for the better, the home of many softball tournaments.
“And, please know that, as always, whether I am answering questions, helping navigate City Hall, or figuring out a solution, I am your first line of resource.
“Thank you, citizens of Dunkirk, for the honor of being your councilwoman these past two years. It has been a growing experience for all of us–a pleasure and a challenge. I look forward to serving another two years with your support and vote.”
