Fredonia Opera House Cinema Series presents ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3’
“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” will be playing at the Fredonia Opera House.
The next film in the Cinema Series at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center is the comedy sequel “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3.” It will be screened on Saturday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
From writer and director Nia Vardalos, the worldwide phenomenon “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” is back in theaters with a brand-new adventure. Join the Portokalos family as they travel to a family reunion in Greece for a heartwarming and hilarious trip full of love, twists and turns. Opa!
Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis notes that the original film in the series, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” is the most attended film in the Opera House’s nearly 30 years of presenting movies – with 1,983 attendees over five nights. “We screened the second film in the franchise in 2016, and it also was popular. So, we feel it only makes sense to screen this third installment as well!”
The Chicago Reader says the film has a “genuine laughs and a healthy dose of heart.” The San Francisco Chronicle calls it “colorful and celebratory, eager to entertain and wears its heart on its sleeve.” Collider says it is “full of so much joy, and so much heart, celebrating family, culture, and love.” Rated PG-13 for suggestive material and some nudity, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” runs one hours, 31 minutes.
Tickets are available at the door for $7 (adults), $6.50 (seniors & Opera House members) and $5 (students) the night of each screening. A book of 10 movie passes is available for $60 at the door or by calling the Box Office at 716-679-1891. The Opera House is equipped with assistive listening headsets for the hearing-impaired. Simply request one from any usher or staff member.
The Opera House Cinema Series is generously sponsored by Lake Shore Savings Bank. In addition, Opera House programming is made possible by the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County.
